Learn Biblical Hebrew by John H Dobson
Very well written book that comes with a useful audio CD. The pace is good for beginner. The advanced section is suitable for students who have some Hebrew knowledge. It covers biblical Hebrew grammar with references to Bible verses.
Berlitz "Hebrew Travel Pack" with audio CD
Good for people who has some Hebrew knowledge. It has a very comprehensive coverage of very useful phrases in Hebrew with transliteration and English translation. If you do not have some Hebrew background it is a bit difficult to use as this book does not cover grammatical structures. I find the CD a bit hard to follow due to the way its sequence. In short, it is a quick-guide phrase book.
Langenscheidt "Pocket Dictionary Hebrew-English"
A simple yet good dictionary for modern Hebrew and biblical vocabulary. Of course, for complete coverage, get a full size Langenscheidt.
Pimsleur's "Basic Modern Hebrew" audio CD
Very good for conversational modern Hebrew. It comes only with an audio CD. This box covers only 10 lessons. Cover simple grammar and build up some vocabulary. The lessons are well structured and it makes audio learning possible, but a quiet environment is needed to catch the pronunciation correctly. If you need to learn how to read and write, you need to get an additional book to supplement this.
Zondervan "Old Testament Hebrew Vocabulary Cards"
A good way to build up old biblical Hebrew vocabulary. I bought it at Borders.
